Hanoverton’s Natural Gas Explosion – PICTURES & VIDEOS
Around 10:28pm, there was a massive boom & fire ball like explosion that lit up the night sky for miles. The explosion looked like an nuclear bomb went off. A vertical fireball that could have been mistaken for a mushroom cloud was seen for miles. The sound ratted windows and shook houses. Multiple drivers reported nearly crashing due to the massive distraction in the sky.
There were rumors of a plane crashing but now it is known that it was a natural gas line that caught fire.

1. A resident of Homeworth reported seeing the glow, which the East Liverpool newspaper reported was visible from as far north as Youngstown with flames visible in Lisbon, five miles from Dungannon.
2. Tennessee Gas Pipeline spokesman Richard Wheatley said the explosion occurred in a 36-inch, buried transmission line that carries natural gas. He said the section where the explosion occurred was shut off and the residual gas burned off.
